About marie

My name’s Marie and I hail from Cork. Currently partaking in a whole lot of procrastination in preparation for the Leaving Cert. I find paisley, coffee and neckerchiefs extremely agreeable however unseen Latin translations and milky tea not so. After eighteen years of living I still have no idea as to what I want to do next year so the CAO change of mind is going to be a well used facility. Can be found usually clutching a cup of coffee to my chest and muttering under my breath about people’s lack of respect or dignity. All in all : fledging little old lady.

… alas. Too much napping in airports and planes today means that I am now wide-awake and talking to others in the same pre-result position as myself. Like, we’ll be grand. A few years from now this will all be a distant memory, like seriously – does anyone out there still care about that re-arranged [...]

Hey guys. This is going to be a bit short due to my inability to concentrate for longer than three minutes at the moment, I’m either suffering from the Tequila last night or my brain how long into some weird Traumatic Shock kinda thing. Chemistry : A lovely paper. I’m a little worried about whether [...]

Ahhhhh.. Okay.. Going mad from waiting for the next two exams to roll around. Had a lovely evening out last night at a friends and seem to have lost ALL sense of urgency or whatever it is that you have when you’re studying for exams. I think that this isn’t a good thing.. Anything, Latin.. [...]

Ladies and gentlemen, four day weekend! Lovely. I bought myself a coffee and a cardigan to celebrate.. Before swiftly remembering that the Chemistry course has vast and altogether widespread corners of which I must visit, and Latin.. Oh Latin shall be interesting.. I am so unbelievably tired it’s disgusting. I didn’t get to sleep last [...]

Okay, I can say it. I’m tired. Until now I couldn’t really admit it because it would mean that I wouldn’t be able to work to the best of my ability. But now the worse of my exams are over, seven exams done already.. Time is flying by! Anyway, only three left. Lovely. My time [...]

For about three minutes I lived in blissful blissful ignorance. I woke up, having completely forgotten than I have a Leaving Cert to sit.. I just lay in bed… All warm and happy with only the mildest of mild niggles saying to me, “Hmm… do I have something to do today?”. Did I what. Maths [...]

Fucking Irish paper two. I really don’t know what to do for it, I mean the books are INUNDATED with notes upon notes but I am NOT a rote learner, I don’t find it works for me. I prefer being able to rely on my natural inclinations but combine them with some vague idea of [...]

ZOOM. Okay, I’m just going to give you an insight as to what it was like being me this morning. I got up at five to read Macbeth quotes like a madwoman. My appropriately towards the poetry went something like this, “shit shit shit shit if Bishop isn’t there I’M GOING TO DIE”. And I [...]

This blog post does exactly what is says in the title.. Okay, I like Maths. Especially Algebra. Always have, always will. * Please insert that thumping of the chest “homie” sign here* Anyway, I’m a little disappointed in myself that I screwed myself over a tad in question 2Bi. I misread the question, over complicated [...]

Okay, so I could panic. I could absolutely freak out, stop sleeping and learn EVERYTHING on the poetry course, notably all of the poets I have covered. But I’m not going to. I’m going to stick with Longley and Bishop BUT to cover my back, I’m going to flick through what I have on Adrienne [...]
